CPAI has a research group registered and certificated with the CAPES. The following research areas active at the Center are:

Architecture of Information

Architecture of Information is a is a design methodology that applies to any information environment, being understood as a space located in a context made up with flow contents attending a community of users. The Architecture of Information purpose is to overcome the effective flow of effective information through “environment informational”. Architecture of Information as a concept, appoint also a process as a product.

Information Science

To conduct surveys and researches in: Architecture of Information Placed Methods; Architecture of Information Theories; Organizational Patterns; Architecture of Information Assurance; Architecture of Reporting Systems Theories and Methods.

Epistemology of Information

To conduct surveys and researches in: Fact Nature; Information and Knowledge; Researches of Phenomenology Adoption; Knowledge Theories: Phenomenology.

Machine – Man Interfaces

The research of Man – Machine Interfaces (MMI) conduct surveys, mapping and tests with breakthrough technology for phenomenon of user – system interaction, having as general purpose functionality, ergonomy, effectiveness and efficiency in the relation between humans and machines, in all its variations. The approach taken to is the machine – man interface from the perspective of Architecture of Information.

Information Praxis

To conduct surveys and researches in: Architecture of Organizational Information; Architecture of Information Assurance; Strategical Architecture of Information; Supply Chain Architecture; Architecture of Information for Social Choices; Architecture of Information for Geomanagement; Governmental Information Architecture; Quantum Architecture Information; Architecture of Information of Financial Organizations; Architecture of Information of Solid Waste Policy.

Logical Treatment of Information

Formulate and accomplish researches and projects using logical and math skills to resolve problems where are necessary the processing information. Also it desire identification, review and solution implementation with focus that serves as a basis for the development of researches in Architecture of Information. Approaches included classic logical and non – classic; Logical Programming; New Models of Application for Modal Logic.
